Property Description
Do not enter Pangletown Trail, this is not a public street. "No Trespassing" signs posted and gate is locked.
A creek runs through and so do the deer. Panglatown Trail has 108 acres of adventure. Part mountainous, part flat, it sloops up and down, just make sure you bring your hunting app so that at the end of the day you can find your way back to your very own cabin. On the southern side of the property there is an aprox 1920 ft-long easement given to Trans-Allegheny Interstate Line Company and Potomac Edison which is maintained by them but does not take away your right to use. This small portion of the property is perfect for your ATVs, dirt bikes and snowmobiles. There are other paths as well throughout the property.
All pictures are old, possibly from the 90s. The cabin has not been used for many years. I have not seen signs of current water damage, but the critters have enjoyed their time here. The cabin does not look like it did when it was in use, and it needs work. Exterior was built using cement block and mortar with a wood exterior façade to make it look like a log cabin. The owner had quit the set up for his family and his hunting buddies to get away from the city and enjoy a quieter lifestyle. You will be surrounded by plenty of wood to rebuild the long-gone deer stands and use to bring this once charming cabin back to its former state. The 2-room hunting cabin has a large stone and brick fireplace in the center of the main room, a wood burning stove and a 3rd heat source (I believe it is a propane stove) in the bedroom area, and a kitchen area (not operational). Sit down and relax on the covered front porch after a hard day of cutting firewood, playing in the creek, hunting, or exploring your land. Find your favorite fishing spot on Froman’s Run which meanders through the property. The land around the cabin is cleared, the owner previously used this area for his flower and vegetable gardens and for setting around a fire in the evening telling stories with his friends. The kitchen was well equipped back in the day with a running sink, an oven, kitchen cabinets, and a refrigerator, and although the kitchen is not ready to fry up your breakfast bacon yet, it would not take you long before it is. Everything is strictly “as-is” including the cabin, shed and well. Do not go onto property! There are "No Trespassing" signs posted. Listing Agent must accompany, preferably with 48-hour notice. If you love to hunt, fish, ride ATVs and dirt bikes or just enjoy nature and privacy this is the perfect place for you. Located between Stephens City and Winchester.
